
Maseleh - Kintia Bridge Repaired
The broken bridge between Maseleh and Kintia has been repaired. This was done through a combined effort of the MADA members in the U.S., the Freetown group and the local community, that included Maseleh, Kintia and Mayahen towns.
The Maseleh Mosque Needs Roof Repairs
The roof on the Maseleh Mosque is in bad shape. Leaks into the Mosque increased throughout the last rainy season. Desperate financial and material help is needed from members, individuals and parties to resolve this problem before this year's rains intensify.
Maseleh Health Center Update
Renovation of the hospital and its first set of quarters was completed in December 2006. Funding was provided by the World Bank through The National Commission for Social Action (NACSA), a non governmental agency. Official opening of the health center is pending. MADA is expected to play a major role in hosting this occasion that will attract distinguished guests from all over the country.
Maseleh Community Primary School Update
Since October 2006, MADA has been paying the volunteer teachers' salary. This is $250 per month for the 5 teachers.
