Over the past year, MADA invested over $8,000 in making improvements to the school in Maseleh. We added an additional classroom, an office, and a library to the school building. MADA also sponsored the completion of the floors, walls, and windows. By God's grace, we were able to secure chairs and desks for each of the 6 teachers, send monthly stipends to each teacher, and purchase blackboards for each of the classrooms.

There has been much excitement about the changes taking place at the Primary School. So much so that within the two years MADA has been organized, enrollment at the school has increased from 205 to over 400 students. Some students are still meeting outside under the trees. We really need your help.

Currently there is also a food crisis in all of Sierra Leone and in other countries as well. As much as we would like to provide food assistance to everyone in need, our organization is just forming, having been operating for less than 2 years. In an effort to learn all the ins and outs of organizing assistance to people in need, we have focused our efforts on the small town of Maseleh in Sierra Leone. We are a 501(C)3 organization, and we are following generally accepted accounting principals in our bookkeeping as required. We update the website on a weekly basis to keep our donors or potential donors apprised of our fund raising effort.
