Maseleh Health Center
The Maseleh Health Center has been in place since 1994. The Town Chief, the late Pa Adikali kamara and his family provided the land for the facility. The Health Center itself is community owned with most of the initial support headed by the Paramount Chief of the Chiefdom.
The strategic position of the town makes it just ideal for a health facility that can provide primary health care to a population of over 40,000 people . And people from all walks of life have been receiving medical treatment for malaria, wound, as well as maternal and childcare treatment in the mainstay of the facility.
The Maseleh Health Center also has provisions to train traditional birth attendants. The overall effect of all these services is an improved healthcare system. For example, there is an improved child and maternity health with fewer deaths during childbirth. The Kantheen Development Organization (KADO) and its founding members are highly credited as pioneers of the health center.
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) played a major role in the construction of the center. Two concrete and solid structures are already available. Completion of the existing structures is underway.
The government has provided one LPN equivalent personnel and she is stationed in the town. There are plans to provide more staffing personnel that will include a medical doctor. Additional plans include the Ministry of Health and Sanitation taking over the daily operations of the health center. However, assistance and donations are needed for the following:

- Bed Sheets
- Furniture
- Medicines
- Hospital Supplies (Syringes, needles, first aid dressings, etc)
- Hospital Equipments
- Typewriter
- Computer
- Generator
- Ambulance
- Mobile Telephone and Walkie Talkies
- Fans
- Staff Quarters
- Diesel truck (to be used for hauling constrution materials)
